Entrustment of Rigpa’s New Senior Teachers and Practice Holders

Rigpa

On Saturday 2 July 2022, Mindrolling Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche and Khenchen Namdrol Rinpoche formally entrusted the first generation of Rigpa’s Western Buddhist Teachers. It was a very significant day in Sogyal Rinpoche’s vision for the transmission of the teachings of the Buddha.

A group of 26 Senior Teachers and Practice Holders, and 236 teachers and practice holders took a formal pledge to continue the Nyingma (“Ancient”) lineage of Tibetan Buddhism and hold the transmission of the Dharma for future generations.

“The fact that I gave the name Rigpa to our work and to our Sangha is very significant, because it’s really all a way of bringing you to your true nature. You are my lineage holders, and more will manifest in the future.”
Sogyal Rinpoche

For more information about the role of Rigpa’s new teachers and practice holders who were first introduced to the sangha in 2021, and entrusted on 2 July 2022 in person in Lerab Ling, see the Rigpa Sangha Blog.
